So here I sit on a Monday afternoon. Normally we would be ending class about now, but today is a holiday, so no class today. That’s it. One semester to go. Just finished up all of my classes for this semester over the weekend and I’m glad that it’s over.

Complex Family Clinical Begins
Last night was our first clinical day for our Complex Family rotation. Hey, I got to wear the green “2nd year” scrubs, so that was good. Our typical shift will be 3pm-3am, but due to a conflict with another clinical group, all we did yesterday was attend a brief hospital orientation and learn a little about the computer system. Psych Clinical Complete
Just finished up our psych clinical today. I can’t believe how fast the past five weeks have gone! It hardly seems long enough, but we were all able to work through all three phases of the therapeutic relationship – Orientation, Working, and Termination. When we started, it felt like there was no way that we were ever going to get past the orientation phase. It was so awkward and uncomfortable walking into the clinical location.
