		<description>Wow, that&#039;s really fascinating. I had no idea dissonance was involved - I&#039;ve always thought of it as having a reason to talk to each other. Personally, I&#039;m not easy just bonding with people - there has to be a subject matter involved, some kind of vehicle for getting to know each other. There are many people I would happily do favours for, but still end up not liking until we find some substantial common ground. I guess dissonance wouldn&#039;t apply all the time. Is this the same thing that makes you like something more when you spend a lot of money on it?

Remember all those times OTHER kids said &quot;I&#039;ll never need to learn this math?&quot;...then when they grew up (hopefully) they realized (again, hopefully) that math helped them learn how to think logically.
